Institute of Medical Science, BHU, Varanasi has disclosed
recruitment notification to fill up the following positions for DST funded
research project. The posts are temporary and contractual in nature. Find below
the terms and conditions of vacancies:
Name of the Institution
– Institute of Medical Science, BHU, Varanasi
Current Openings:
1. Sr. Research Fellow – 01 Post
2. Jr. Research Fellow – 01 Post
3. Project Assistant – 01 Post
Educational Qualification:
1. Sr. Research Fellow – M.Tech or B.Tech
in Mechanical/Metallurgy/Biomedical or M.Sc (Physics/ Chemistry) with minimum
55% marks and 2 years of research experience. Desirable - GATE/NET or
equivalent qualification for B. Tech/M.Sc
2. Jr. Research Fellow – MDS
(Prosthodontics) or BDS with minimum 55% marks. Desirable - NET or equivalent
qualification for BDS
3. Project Assistant – ITI with
1st division from recognized institution. Desirable - Machinist or fitter with
experience in fabrication, machining, material testing, microstructure
characterisation and heat treatment.
Initial Fellowship
(per month):
1. Sr. Research Fellow – Rs.28,000/- fixed
with 20% HRA
2. Jr. Research Fellow – Rs.25,000/-
fixed with 20% HRA
3. Project Assistant – Rs.8,000/- fixed.
Maximum limit of Age: Candidates
applying for the post of SRF should be below 32 years, JRF should be 28 years
& Project Assistant should be 35 years. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5
years for SC /ST/PWD candidates.
Selection Process – Shortlisted
applicants on the basis of qualification and experience will be called for
Interview.

are required to apply along with complete Bio-data & attested photocopies
of all marksheets & certificates from 10th / High School onwards.
