BHEL (Barat Heavy Electricals Limited) has been a base for Indian power plant equipment. It stood 7th in the world for its power equipment manufacturing. It is engaged in the various streams of engineering namely Electrical, Mechanical, and Electronics.  It contributes in the various fields of Transportation, Industry, Power, Transmission, and Non-conventional Energies. It conducts the employment of Engineer Trainee from the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) examination. It has 00 vacancies in Mechanical, 150 in Electrical and 50 in Electronics Engineering.

Total vacancy: 500 vacancies.

Educational Qualifications: Applicant must be having Graduation Degree in Engineering or 
Technology or a 5 yrs Post Graduation/dual degree in Engineering /Technology in Electrical/ Mechanical or Electronics engineering. 

Age Criteria:  The maximum age of the aspirant has to be 27 years as on 1st of Aug 2013 and 29 yrs for the applicants with PG degree in Engineering & MBA. Application Fees: The applicant will have to pay the fee of Rs.250/- Gen and OBC from branch of State Bank of India across the country, to Power Jyoti Ac/ No-30858787145. The challan can be downloaded from the website of the BHEL i.e. careers.bhel.in

   
Pay Structure: The applicant will get the stipend of Rs.20600/- with the pay scale of Rs.20600/- to 46500/- in the training period after this applicant will be getting the Pay of Rs.24900/- to Rs.50500/-

   
Selection Procedure: The selection will be done via GATE marks in the concern field and the interview performance of the applicant. The merit of the applicants will be prepared on the basis of GATE score in concern field.

Procedure to Apply: The applicant will have to apply for GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test) (applicant can apply for GATE www.gate.iitb.ac.in/gate2013). The applicants will have to go on the website of the BHEL http://careers.bhel.in (after the registration is done in GATE) there the applicant will have to mention the GATE registration ID. After submission of application unique acknowledgement number will be given. The applicant will need to download the slip. The two copies will be generated out of which one has to be submitted to the address the “BHEL copy” with photo pasted on the acknowledgement slip with BHEL challan copy to the Manager/HR (MPP & R), HR Department/Bldg No-24, Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited, Tiruchirapalli-620014, Tamil Nadu. Applicants those who will be called for the interview have to bring the documents and GATE admit card ad score card.

   
Exam Pattern: The applicant will have to face written exam of objective type question 240 multiple choice in 2:30 hrs duration.
Syllabus: English (Verbal Ability, English grammar, sentence completion, verbal analogies, word groups, instructions, critical reasoning and verbal deduction), Quantitative Aptitude (Numerical Ability, Numerical computation, numerical estimation, numerical reasoning and data interpretation), Reasoning Ability, General Awareness, Logical thinking and concern field of Engineering.
