About EASTERN RAILWAY: The Eastern Railway (ER) is one of the 17 zones of the Indian Railways. Its headquarters is at Fairlie Place, Kolkata, and comprises four divisions: Howrah, Malda, Sealdah, and Asansol. These are the financial departments and each has an assistant divisional financial manager (ADFM), divisional railway manager (DRM), and senior divisional railway manager (Sr.DFM). The name of the division denotes the name of the city where the divisional headquarters is located.
Exam Details: Eastern Railway has offering notification against recruitment of Fitter, Welder, Electrician, Machinist, Wire man, Carpenter, Painter, Wire man, Welder, Lineman, posts, Electronics Mechanic, Machinist 436 Act Apprentices in Eastern Railway, Kanchrapara Workshop and Sealdah Division under different trades. Eligible candidates may apply through prescribed application format on or before 31/10/2012.
Selection Process: Eligible students can be based on the performance given in the education career means total numbers obtained in the matriculation examination and ITI percentage. After that, the administrative committees of eastern railway will shortlist candidates for appearing in the medical fitness test conducted separately for both two divisions followed by verification of original certificates.
How to get the application Form: Eligible Candidates can to download application format available in the notification, fill it with all mandatory details, attach photograph, attest signature, super scribe the name of the post to be applied for on the envelope and send it along with IPO and copies of all relevant certificates attested by Gazetted Officer, to the following address, “Workshop Personnel Officer, Eastern Railway, P.O. Kanchrapara, DT. 24-Parganas (N) West Bengal, Pin -743145.” or, dropped in the Application BOX kept in Time Office/Loco & Main Gate of C&W, E.Rly, Kanchrapara on or before 31/10/2012.
