About GRE:
The Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) is a standardized test that is an admissions requirement for many graduate schools in the United States, in other English-speaking countries and for English-taught graduate and business programs world-wide. Created and administered by Educational Testing Service (ETS) in 1949. The GRE General Test is offered as a computer-based exam administered by selected qualified testing centers.
  

Exam Details: The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is gateway to admission in Graduate Programmer in United States. Most of Graduate and Business schools use GRE score to evaluate your readiness for graduate level work. There are two versions of GRE test:

1.) GRE General Test

2.) GRE Subject Test



How to get the application Form: The information related to GRE test is available free with "GRE Information Bulletin" Prometric Testing Services and USEFI. You can also request the bulletin from Iand it will be delivered to your given address. They are fours ways to register.

1.) Registering by Phone:
You can call up Prometric Delhi office until 12.00 noon to register. But one condition, make sure to call at least THREE BUSINESS DAYS before the test date.
 

2.) Registering Online: You can also register online from the GRE site: www.gre.org.

3.) Registering by Fax:
You can register by sending a fax, lest SEVEN DAYS prior to your first choice of a test day.

4.) Registering by Mail: You can register through mail or courier by fill in the form, get the draft made (if you are not paying by credit card), and submit these to the Prometric Center at New Delhi either by hand or by registered post / courier, But make sure that the documents must reach at least THREE WEEKS before your test day.

 

Exam Pattern: The first two sections of the GRE General Test are Analytical Writing sections. The duration of the two tasks to be completed as part of the Analytical Writing section lasts 75 minutes (1 hour and 15 minutes). The objective type questions in the GRE test starts from the third section. The third section is a 30 minutes - 30 questions verbal section and the fourth section is a 45 minutes - 28 questions Quantitative section.
 

A.) Analytical Writing: Measures critical thinking and analytical writing skills, specifically the test taker's ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively.

B.) Verbal Reasoning:
Measures reading comprehension skills and verbal and analogical reasoning skills, focusing on the test taker's ability to analyze and evaluate written material.

C.) Quantitative Reasoning:
Measures problem solving ablility focusing on basic concepts of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and data analysis. The GRE Test can be taken in paper format or on computers.


Important Date: 


GRE exam date will be announced between September and December month. Mostly students will fail to get a GRE exam date in this period in their desired testing center. many test takers will be forced to choose a test center far away from their location to get a desired GRE exam date.
