About IELTS: IELTS, or International English Language Testing System, is an international standardized test of English language proficiency. It is jointly managed by University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations, the British Council and IDP Education Pty Ltd, and was established in 1989. IELTS is accepted by most Australian, British and South African academic institutions, over 3,000 academic institutions in the United States, and various professional organizations.
Exam Details: IELTS, the International English Language Testing System, is designed to assess the language ability of candidates who need to study or work where English is the language of communication. IELTS is jointly managed by the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations (Cambridge ESOL), British Council and IDP: IELTS Australia. IELTS conforms to the highest international standards of language assessment. IELTS is recognized by universities and employers in many countries, including Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK and the USA. It is also recognized by professional bodies, immigration authorities and other government agencies.
How to get the application Form: 1.) A copy of the email confirming that you have been registered online.
2.) Two passport size photos (Please refer to the photograph specifications in the link

3.) A photocopy of your valid passport, andIELTS Fee is INR 7900 for all Test dates till 31st August 2012.
Exam Pattern: In this test candidates are tested in listening, reading, writing and speaking. All the candidates can take the same Listening and Speaking modules. Candidates can choose between the general and Academic Training in the Reading and Writing Modules.
