About
INTELLIGENCE BUREAU: Intelligence Bureau (IB) is India's
internal intelligence agency and reputedly the world's oldest intelligence
agency. It was recast as the Central Intelligence Bureau in 1947 under the
Ministry of Home Affairs. The reason for the perception may be because, in
1885, Major General Sir Charles Mac Gregor was appointed Quartermaster General
and head of the Intelligence Department for the British Indian Army at Simla.
Exam
Details: Intelligence Bureau (IB) has invited
notification against recruitment of 74 Jr Intelligence Officer, Personal Asst
Posts. Eligible candidates can apply through Online mode on or before 02/06/2014.
IB was created on 23 December 1887, by the then British Secretary of State as a
sub-sect of the Central Special Branch but there is no act of the Indian
parliament nor executive order relating to the functioning of the IB.

Criteria
of Age: The age of the applicant 18 – 27
years as on 02-06-2014. Age Relaxation - 5 Years for SC/ST, 3 Years for OBC,
For other candidates as per Govt Rules.
Qualifications:
For
Personal Assistant (PA) Posts: The
applicant should have 10+2 or equivalent with proficiency in stenography from a
recognized University or equivalent.
For
Junior Intelligence Officer Posts: Matriculation
with two years Industrial Training Institute (ITI) passed certificate in Radio
Technician or Communication or Computer or Electronics or Electrical.
Fees
of Application: The applicant has to pay the amount
of Rs. 50/- towards registration charges. by cash deposit (offline payment) at
any branch of State Bank of Indian using the Challan form (available in Part II
of the online application) or by using internet banking facility of State Bank
of India or State Bank ATM-cum-Debit Card. Scheduled Caste, Women are not
required to pay the applicable charges.
Selection
Proceeding: The selection of the aspirant will
be done by Written Examination, Skill Test and Interview.

Candidates can to apply for the post only through the online mode and that must
be done on or before 03-05-2014 to 02-06-2014 23:59 hrs. Applications can be
submitted through the official website of IB i.e. www.mha.nic.in

2. Select the advertisement link from the Whats New list followed by current notification link.
3. Fill all the marked details, check once for errors, upload previously scanned photograph and Signature at places provided and click on Submit button.
4. Make the payment through Online or Offline mode.
5. Check the payment status and take the print of Registration Slip to be retained for further use.

Exam Pattern: There will be two papers in the written examination, the exam consists of 2 sets i.e. Objective and Subjective type Questions for the post of ACIO in IB. As both the papers will be conducted in the same session and you have to complete both of your papers/parts in 1 hour and 40 minutes .

Objective Type – The questions will be based upon general awareness, English language, Reasoning and Mathematics.
The Objective type Set 1 consists of following sections:

The Subjective type Set 2 consists of the English language writing skills including essay writing and letter writing of any given topic.
Descriptive Types – You will be asked to write a essay on any topic out of options given in the question paper .
