Exam Details:
Jharkhand CET (Common Entrance Test) is conducted by Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECE) Board for selection of candidates into the first year of Engineering, Medical and Agricultural degree programs in various courses such as B.Sc (Bachelor of Science), BE (Bachelor of Engineering), BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery), MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) government and private institutes/colleges in Jharkhand.

 
About JHARKHAND CET: Jharkhand 28th state of the Indian Union was brought into existence by the Bihar reorganization Act on November 15,2000- the birth anniversary of the legendary Bhagwan Birsa Munda. Jharkhand is famous for its rich mineral resources like Uranium, Mica, Bauxite, Granite, Gold, Silver, Graphite, Magnetite, Dolomite, Fireclay, Quartz, Fieldspar, Coal (32% of India), Iron, Copper (25%of India) etc. Forests and woodlands occupy more than 29% of the state which is amongst the highest in India.


How to get the application Form:

1.) Jharkhand Engineering Application Form Fee Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics; Gen/BC-I/BC-II category Rs. 585/-; ST/SC category Rs 310/- OR  Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Gen/BC-I/BC-II category Rs 585/-; SC/ST category Rs 310.

2.)
Desired candidates who want to appear in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology stream, (PCMB group) have to submit additional demand draft (DD) of Rs 50/- in favour of "Controller of examination, JCECEB" payable at Ranchi as additional exam fee. In case of such candidate must write their name, application form no on the back side of demand draft. If they did not submit required fee, the board will treat him/her as PCB group candidate and he/she will not be allowed to appear in Mathematics paper examination. No draft will be accepted in any circumstances after last date of receipt of application form 16/04/2012.

Exam Pattern: JCECE exam consists of preliminary exam & finals exam. Those you tend to clear this preliminary test are listed separately for the final test.

Preliminary Test:

A.)
This test contains 4 sections on physics, chemistry,  mathematics & biology.

B.) All the questions are of objective types. Test carries 200 marks.

C.) Total time allotted to attempt question is 2 hours 30 minutes.

D.) For every incorrect answer, negative marking is there.

Final Test:

A.)
This test occurs in different states. Candidates can choose the center according to their convenience.

B.) To get admission in engineering courses has to sit for paper that contains questions on physics, chemistry & mathematics.
