Exam Details: NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) 2012 is entrance exam for admission into Bachelor Degree Program such as Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) degree courses. NATA 2012 score is admission criteria in different Government, Govt. Aided & unaided schools / colleges of Architecture. NATA 2012 score is used as parameter for accessing architecture aptitude of engineering candidates.
About NATA: The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA 2012) measures the aptitude of the applicant for specific field of study, i.e. Architecture. The test measures drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking ability, that have been acquired over a long period of time, and that are related to specific field of study, i.e. Architecture.
How to get the application Form: NATA Bank challan is available for download at website www.nata.in from 15/03/2012 to 31/08/2012 at designated Test Centers. However, some test centers may stop conducting tests even before this date. Please check with the center before you go for registration. Appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. To register, contact the appropriate Test Center. Nata Application fees is Rs. 1000/-.
1.) Download and Print the Blank Challan from the above mentioned website to be used to pay money in Axis Bank listed.
2.) Take the stamped challan to the designated counter in the branch & request for NATA 2012 Brochure cum Application Form.
3.) Take the copy of the Challan and the filled Application Form to the Test Center designated for NATA 2012.
4.) Submit the Challan copy, Filled Application Form and the necessary documents to the Test Center Coordinator for Registration for NATA 2012.
5.) Approach any of the designated branches of "Axis Bank" from 15/03/2012. The list of branches of Axis Bank is given in the official site.
Exam Pattern: NATA exam will be of 3.00 hrs (180 minutes). One has to clear the NATA eligibility criteria before applying. The test is divided into 2 sections.
1. Drawing Test : It is paper based & is of 2.00 hrs (120 minutes). duration. It is judged on the aspects like sense of perspective drawing, ability to sketch a given object proportionately, creating interesting 2-D composition using given shapes & forms, understanding of scales & proportions, visualizing & drawing the effects of light on the object & shadows cast on surroundings, combining & composing given 3-D elements to form a building or structural form, creating visual harmony using colors in given composition and drawing from memory through pencil sketch on themes from day to day experiences.
2. Aesthetic Sensitivity Test : It is a computer based online test of 1 hr (60 minutes). duration. It is based on aspects like visualizing different sides of 3-D dimensional objects, analytical reasoning, imaginative comprehension & expression, visualizing 3-D objects from 2-D drawings, identifying commonly used materials & objects based on their textual qualities, mental ability and architectural awareness.
