About NIMCET: NIMCET is the national level entrance test for admission to Master of Computer Applications (MCA) courses in select National Institutes of Technology (NITs). The Master of Computer Applications (MCA) course is one of the most sought after courses offered in the NITs and has a high job potential in the software houses in India and abroad. The first common admission test, NIMCET-05, was conducted in 2005. About 13,000 candidates appeared for NIMCET-05 for 420 seats available in NITs.


Exam Details: The National Institute of Technology, Warangal exam dates for NIMCET (National Institute of Technology MCA Common Entrance Test) 2012 which will be held in the month of May 2012. NIMCET entrance exam will be conducted on 20/05/2012. NIMCET is a National level entrance test for admission into MCA (Master of Computer Application) course at the NIT’s. Desired Candidates with an aggregate (all subjects put together) of 60% marks (6.5/10 CGPA) in Bachelor’s degree of minimum duration of 3 years from a recognized University in any discipline, with Mathematics as one of the subjects both in graduation and at 10+2 level are eligible.


How to get the application Form:

A.) The Application form and Prospectus can be downloaded from the official website of National Institute of Technology Warangal. Candidates should create login and password by registering themselves in the website NIMCET between 13/02/2012 to 02/04/2012. Then fill the online application form made available in the website after obtaining DD for processing fee, scanned copy of their latest passport photo, signature before 09/04/2012.

B.)
Interested Candidates can avail the application for NIMCET at any of the participating NITs is online.

C.)
The fee for NIMCET-2012 is Rs. 1,500 and for SC and ST candidates, it is Rs. 750.


Exam Pattern: The NIMCET examination will be for a duration of  2.00 hours (120 minutes) and consists of 120 multiple choice questions with four choices for each question. Each correctly answered question carries FOUR marks and each wrongly answered question invites NEGATIVE ONE mark.
