About NIOS: 
The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), is the Board of Education for open schools, under the Union Government of India. It was established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development of the Government of India in 1989 to provide education inexpensively to remote areas. The NIOS is a national board that administers examinations for Secondary and Senior Secondary examinations of open schools similar to the CBSE and the CISCE.


Exam Details: 
National Institute of Open Schooling NIOS October 2012 examination Secondary (Class 10th) & Senior Secondary (Class 12th). The Largest Open Schooling System in the World and an Examination Board of Government of India at par with CBSE / ICSE Secondary and Sr. Secondary Paper. NIOS is providing a number of Vocational, Life Enrichment and community oriented courses besides General and Academic Courses at Secondary and Senior Secondary level. It also offers Elementary level Courses through its Open Basic Education Programmes (OBE).




How to get the application Form:

A.) 
Attach the attested documents along with the printout of the filled in application form and get the photographs attested on the printed application form from Principal / Co-coordinator or Gazetted Officer / District Magistrate.

B.) 
You should ensure that the particulars filled in the On Line Application Forms are correct.

C.) 
Photograph : You should scan your photograph and save it in the form of .jpg file for uploading the same.

4.) 
Please take 2 Printout of filled in Admission Form. Please put your signature and paste passport size photograph on the printed Application Form and send it within 5 Days from the date of Registration.

Exam Pattern: 
The paper is divided into two sections: section A and section B. Section A is a must for the students. Section B has more than one question and it has got options but students have to answer only one from this section. The paper covers the entire syllabus in a very strategic manner and is very scoring. The first section carries 85 marks while section B carries 15 mark.
