Reserve Bank of India (RBI) exams is
the apex financial institution of India. The basic functioning is a little
different because all the banks are headed by the RBI. Whenever requirements
arise, the Reserve Bank of India Service Board, Mumbai conducts All India Exam
for the recruitment of various positions.

About RBI:
Indian banking can be broadly
categorized into Nationalized (government owned), Private banks and Specialized
banking institutions. The Reserve Bank of India (www.rbi.org.in) acts a
centralized monitoring body in the Indian financial sector. The Reserve Bank of
India which was established on April 1, 1935, as the Central Bank of the country
and better known as RBI is governed by the Central Board. Recruitment in
Reserve Bank of India is conducted by Reserve Bank of India Service Board,
Mumbai through RBI GR –‘A’/’B’ Officers Exam. RBI Exam is one of the common
Banking Exams in India.
RBI Exam EligibilityEligibility conditions for taking Reserve Bank of India
Recruitment exam are as follows :
- A First Class Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade OR
- A Second Class Master’s Degree with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade OR
- A Doctorate Degree with 50% marks in Master's Degree or equivalent grade OR
- Chartered/Cost Accountant/Company Secretary (ACS) with a Bachelor's Degree OR
- A Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM only.
However SC/ST/PH candidates having second class with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade in Bachelor's Degree examination OR having a Post-graduate Degree or equivalent recognized qualification, are eligible to apply.
Exam Pattern:
The Pattern and the Schema for the
RBI Assistant Vacancies is just like that for the Clerical Exam but the Changes
arises are in the total marks and also for the marks divided in each section
and all the question are in the form of Objective type or MCQ's .There are Five
sections Which are coming in the Exam and Each Sections is of 40 Marks and the
total Strength is 200 Marks.The time duration and the Negative marking criteria
is not mentioned in the Notification but it is expected to be 2 hours Time and
the 1/4th or 0.25 Marking for each wrong answers.

How to get the application Form:
Eligible candidates may apply
through prescribed application form as given in the notification, fill that
form completely and affix passport size photograph on it and sent to the
Officer-in-Charge, Department of Economic and Policy Research, Reserve Bank of
India, Central Office, Fort, Mumbai-400001 on or before 15-11-2012.RBI Exams
Application Forms are also available at rbi.org.in.
