Exam Details: Railway Protection Force (RPF) has invited applications from eligible male and female candidates for filling up the posts for the recruitment of 11952 Constable Vacancies in the Railway protection Force (RPF) including Railway protection Special Force (RPSF). The first railway on Indian sub-continent ran over a stretch of 21 miles from Bombay to Thane. The idea of a railway to connect Bombay with Thane, Kalyan and with the Thal and Bhore Ghats inclines first occurred to Mr. George Clark, the Chief Engineer of the Bombay Government, during a visit to Bhandup in 1843.
About RPF: The Railway Protection Force Academy is a training institute run by the Indian Railways to impart training to new joinees to the Indian Railway Protection Force (RPF). It was established in 1955 at Lucknow, and has since been renamed to Jagjivan Ram RPF Academy in honour of the Indian freedom fighter and former Deputy Prime Minister. The Railway Protection force (RPF) is an Indian Central Armed Police Force charged with protecting the Indian Railways.The strength of RPF is about 65,000.
How to get the application Form: Interested candidates send the application in prescribed format, candidates filled the application in their own hand writing and one recent passport size photograph is pasted on the application form along with self attested copies of necessary certificates, IPO or Demand draft Rs 40/-, two self address envelops, to the respective address on or before, 30 days from the date of employment news is published (37 days for far flung areas).
Application Fee Examination fee Rs 40/- (No fee for Female/SC/ST/Minorities/EBC and Ex-ser) payable at the form of Indian Postal Order (IPO) or Demand draft.
Exam Pattern: The syllabus of the written test conducted for the candidates to appear in the RPF Exam conducted by the central selection board is as follows:
