About UGC NET: This publication has been printed under the direction and control of UGC and the Govt. of India shall not be deemed responsible for the material reproduced in this copy of the UGC Act, 1956 and Rules and Regulations under the Act, which is strictly meant for official use and shall not be used for commercial purpose. The present system of higher education dates back to Mountstuart Elphinstone's minutes of 1823, which stressed on the need for establishing schools for teaching English and the European sciences.
Exam Details: The National Educational Testing Bureau of University Grants Commission (UGC) exam date for National Eligibility Test - December (NET December 2012), conducts National Eligibility Test (NET) for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Lectureship only or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Eligibility for Lectureship both in Indian universities and colleges. which will be held in the month of December 2012. NET entrance exam will be conducted on 30th December, 2012.
How to get the application Form:
1.) First step have to download UGC NET Online Bank Challan from official website and pay the examination fee in State Bank of India (SBI) including bank charges (other modes like Money Order, Demand Draft, IPO are strictly rejected) and get the Journal Number.
2.) Secondly, get the following details and objects with you before filling application form.
A.) Passport Size Photo (Scanned) should be in JPEG format (<300Kb).
B.) Bank Challan Receipt.
3.) Now the process of Application Submission begins. All candidates who are eligible to the test have to apply through online only in www.ugcnetonline.in.
4.) If you are not registered yet, please register yourself by filling the concerned details in Registration Form to generate Login Credential which is used to fill application form of UGC NET Online.
5.) After submitting the form, please take 2 copies of Printouts, 1 Attendance Slip and 1 copy of Admission Card in A4 size Paper.
Exam Pattern: University Grants Commission (UGC) will be conducts an entrance exam of exclusive objective mode in June 2012. There are no negative marking for this exam. The UGC NET June 2012 exam will be divided into 3 objective type papers. The questions will be held on the day of Examination in two separate sessions as given below.
