About OPSC: OPSC Recommendations of the Royal Commission on superior services in India, 1924, referred to in short, as the Lee Commission, and now they find place in the Constitution of India in Articles 315 to 323. The Odisha Public Service Commission was constituted on 01/04/1949 after it’s bifurcation from the former Bihar and Odisha Joint Public Service Commission. At the time of creation of the Odisha Public Service Commission the strength of the Commission was three including Chairman.

Exam Name which is going to be held: Assistant Section Officer in (Group-C) 

Eligibility Criteria: Desired candidates can posses in Under Graduate Degree in  any subject from a recognized University and can have adequate knowledge in computer application.



Selection Procedure: Desired & Interested applicants can be selected on the basis of performances in Competitive Written Examination (CWE), Skill Test in Computer and Interview.


Application Fee Details: Eligible students can to pay Rs. 300/- towards application fee. After submission of Online Application, students can take the print out system generated payment challan along with online application form. The filled in Challan can be submitted along with the fee amount at any branch of SBI. SC/ST students belonging to Odisha are exempted from payment of fee.

Exam Details: Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has invited notification against recruitment of 811 Assistant Section Officer in (Group-C) of Odisha Governor’s secretariat Service and Odisha Secretariat Service under Home Department. Eligible candidates may apply through Online mode on or before 15/12/2012. The Odisha Public Service Commission was constituted on 01/04/1949 after it’s bifurcation from the former Bihar and Odisha Joint Public Service Commission.




How to accomplished Candidature for this Recruitment: - Eligible students can to apply for the post only through Online mode. The applications must be submitted online on or before 15/12/2012. After submission of Online Applications, candidates must take the print out of application form and retain it for further use.

3. Upload previously scanned photograph, signature and thumb impression at the places provided and click on ‘Submit’ button.

4. Take print out of application form and payment challan and make payment as per details mentioned above.
