Bangalore
University is one of the oldest universities’ that has emerged as an offshoot
of the Mysore University in the city of Bangalore. The Bangalore University
offers a variety of courses in disciplines like Arts, Commerce, Science,
Mathematics, and Management Studies for the students in both regular as well as

admission for the P.G. programs on 1st August, 2013 for its
central university campus and Jananabharathi campus and other affiliated
colleges.
The
main
courses that are being offered by the university include:

The
admission to the regular degree courses is through entrance tests and merit
basis cut-off system.
Courses
under the UG program: B.A., B.Com, BSc, BBM, BCA for different courses and
disciplines of study. The eligibility for the admission to the undergraduate
degree courses is Intermediate or 10+2 from any Board of Karnataka Board or any
other Board recognized for this purpose.
Courses under the PG program: M.A., M.Com, MSc., MCA, LLM for different courses and
disciplines of study. The eligibility for the admission to the postgraduate
degree courses is a three year degree course or graduation from any of the
colleges affiliated to Bangalore University or any other university recognized
for this purpose.
Apart
from the regular degree courses under graduation and post-graduation there is
also an integrated course being run by the Bangalore University which is a five
year program including the syllabus of both graduation and post-graduation
courses. Recently, the University has announced for the admission to its five

The
Distance Education Programs
The
BU not only provides education through the regular degree courses but it also
has an arrangement for correspondence courses under distance education program.
The courses that are offered under this mode of education is as follows:

Certificate courses.
Eligibility
Conditions:
1.
For Undergraduate Degree Programs
The
applicant must have passed Intermediate /Class XII from any Bangalore State
Board of Secondary and Higher education or any other Board recognized by the
Bangalore Board or any other Board recognized equivalent to this with any one
of the following subjects: English, Any modern Indian language or Modern
Foreign language or classical language or Information Technology or the four
other subjects specified for it in the university brochures.
2.
For Post-Graduate Degree Programs
The
applicant in order to avail admission in the Post-Graduate Degree program must
have passed the undergraduate degree course of three years or old four year
degree program of Bangalore University or any other university recognized by
the Bangalore University or any other recognized equivalent university.

The
