Details of Assam Police Vacancy 2015-16
1. Sub-Inspector - 346 Posts (Male – 242, Female – 104)
Qualification: Graduate in Arts, Science, Commerce or equivalent stream from a recognized College / Institutions affiliated to a recognized University.
Age Limit (as on 01.07.2015): Minimum Age – 20 years; Maximum Age – 24 years
2. Assistant Jailor (Male) – 27 Posts
Qualification: Degree in Arts/ Science/ Commerce of recognized University. Diploma in the fields of Criminology and Correctional Works is desirable.
Age Limit: Minimum Age – 21 years; Maximum Age – 38 years. Cut-off date will be as on 1st January of selection year.
Pay Scale (p.m.): 5200-20200 (Pay Band No. 2) + Rs. 3300/- (Grade pay) + other allowances as admissible under the rules.

Hiring Methodology: Interested candidates will have to undergo OMR based Written Test. Candidates qualified in the test will be called for PST (Physical Standard Test) and PET (Physical Efficiency Test) on merit basis. Applicants shortlisted in the PST/PET will be called for Personal Interview. Candidate will be finally appointed for the post only after physical verification of documents & medical examination.
