Commandant, Garhwal Rifles Regimental Centre,
Lansdowne (Uttarakhand) has
intended to reveal recruitment notification for following positions. Eligible
and interested candidates are welcome to apply if they satisfy the requisite
parameters given below:
1. Steno Grade-II – 01 Post
2. Cook – 03 Posts
3. Barber – 02 Posts
4. Washerman – 01 Post
Qualification
Required: Minimum prescribed qualification for the post of Steno
Grad-II is 12th pass or its equivalent form nay Govt. recognized board/school
with knowledge of typing. For all other posts, Matriculation, Skilled in Indian Cookery/ Trade Work &
Experience Certificate from recognized Institute is required.

Age
Limitation: Should be between 18 to 25 years as on 31-03-2016.
Age is relaxable up to 05 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC. Relaxation in
upper age limit for Ex-serviceman will be in accordance with the orders/
instructions issued by Govt. from time to time.

Selection
Criteria: Candidates suitable for the posts will be hired through
skill test and interview.

About
Garhwal Rifles
Garhwal Rifles is a regiment under Indian Army which came
into existence on 05th May, 1887 at the instance of Field Marshal Sir FS
Roberts, VC, KG, KP, GCB, OM, GCSE, the then C-in-C of India. Lt Col EP
Mainwaring raised the First battalion at Almora on 05th May, 1887 and moved it
to Kaludanda (later renamed as Lansdowne after the then Viceroy of India) on 04
Nov 1887. The Garhwal Rifles Regimental Centre (GRRC) was established at
Lansdowne on 01.10.1921.
