Educational Norms for IOCL Recruitment 2016
1. Trade Apprentice / Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) – 3 Years Full time B Sc. (Physics, Maths, Chemistry/ Industrial Chemistry)
2. Trade Apprentice Fitter (Mechanical) – Matriculation with 2 year ITI (Fitter) course.
3. Trade Apprentice –Boiler (Mechanical) – 3 Years Full time B Sc (Physics, Maths, Chemistry /Industrial Chemistry)
4. Technician Apprentice (Chemical) – 3 Years Full time Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Refinery & Petrochemicals Engineering.
5. Technician Apprentice (Mechanical) – 3 Years Full time Diploma in Mechanical Engineering..
6. Technician Apprentice (Electrical) – 3 Years Full time Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
7. Technician Apprentice (Instrumentation) – 3 Years Full time Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.

Age Boundation for IOCL Recruitment 2016:
Candidates applying for the post of Apprentices should be in the age group of 18 years to 24 years as on 01.01.2016. Upper age limit relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates and 10 years for PWD candidates.
Contractual Fee for IOCL Recruitment 2016:
Consolidated stipend payable will be as per following criteria:-
Trade Apprentice –
- 70% of Minimum Wage for semi skilled worker (applicable to BGR) + Rs 2500/- in the 1st year
- 80% of Minimum Wage for semi skilled worker (applicable to BGR) + Rs 2500/- in the 2nd year
- 90% of Minimum Wage for semi skilled worker (applicable to BGR) + Rs 2500/- in the 3rd year
Technician Apprentice –
- 90% of Minimum Wage for semi skilled worker (applicable to BGR) + Rs 2500/-
Period of Apprenticeship Training for IOCL recruitment 2016:
The candidates selected will have to undergo training for a period between12 months to 36 months.
