Gulbarga Electricity Supply
Company Limited (GESCOM) is a leading power distribution company which came
into existence in 1st June
2002. GESCOM, under the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited
(KPTCL), provides distribution of electricity to 6 districts of Karnataka which
are Bidar, Gulbarga, Yadgir, Raichur, Koppal and Bellary.

Qualification requirement for the
Post: Job contenders who have passed Matriculation/10th class or equivalent examination from
recognized board/institution OR ITI certificate in concerned trade/discipline
from recognized institute are eligible to apply.
Age Limitation: The minimum and maximum age prescribed for the posts are 18 years
and 35 years respectively. Relaxation in upper age limit will be allowed to the
extent of 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates and for
PWD candidates as per rules.. For claiming age relaxation, the prospective
applicants will have to produce community certificate.
Pay Scale: The appointed persons would be offered initial salary in the range
provided below:-
Junior Lineman - Rs.7350 -15,710/-
p.m.
Junior Station Operator - Rs.7950
– Rs.16790/- p.m.
Usual allowances and Benefits
admissible on the basic pay will be as per Government directives.

- Junior Lineman – Rs.200/- for General & Rs. 100/- for SC/ST
- Junior Station Operator – Rs. 400/- for General & Rs. 200/- for SC/ST
Mode of Recruitment: The selection process of GESCOM Recruitment 2016 includes
competitive written examination, endurance test and personal interview.
