Punjab Police is inviting online applications
from male & female Indian citizens for filling up the post of Constable in
the District Police Cadre & Armed Police Cadre. Eligible and willing
personnel may apply online as per given schedule. The details of Punjab Police
Recruitment 2016 are mentioned below:-

Place
of Posting: Selected candidates will be
deployed anywhere in Punjab, across India or abroad.
Eligibility
Criteria:
(i)
Minimum Educational Qualification – Candidates should
have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognized Education
Board/University and the must have passed Matriculation examination with
Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects or any other equivalent
examination in Punjabi language.
(ii)
Age Limit – Range of age as on 01.01.2016 will
be considered as follows:-
- Minimum – 18 years
- Maximum – 28 years
Candidates covered under the reserved category
like Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes would be entitled
for upper age relaxation to the extent of 5 years.
(iii)
Physical Standard (Height):
- Male - 5 feet 7 inches
- Female - 5 feet 3 inches
Pay
Scale: Pay Band of Rs. 10,300-34,800/- plus Grade Pay
Rs. 3200/- and other allowances as admissible
Selection
Procedure: Process of selection involves several phases
as give below:-
(i) Physical Measurement Test (PMT),
(ii) Physical
Screening Test (PST),
(iii)
Interview-cum-Personality Test,
(iv) Document
verification,
(V) Medical
Examination.
Registration
Cost: Application fee can be deposited online by
Net Banking/ Debit/Credit Card Payment OR Offline, along with the print-out of
the Fee Challan Form deposited into HDFC Bank or Police SAANJH Kendras.
Application fee chargeable for various categories will be as follows:-
(a) General
category candidates Rs 400/-
(b) SC/ST/BC
candidates Rs 100/-
(c) Ex-Servicemen
candidates Exempted
How
to apply: Candidates will have to apply online through
official website www.punjabpolicerecruitment.in between scheduled date starting
from 31.05.2016 (09 AM) to 21.06.2016 (upto 11:59 p.m.). There will be a Common
Application Form (CAF) for both the District Police Cadre and the Armed Police
Cadre.
