various departments on contractual basis. Eligible candidates may apply in the

Directorate of Research and Medical Education, Punjab incorporated in 1973 with
the prime objective for development of Medical Manpower, quality education in
the field of medicine and preparation of specialist and super specialist
doctors in the state to improve the healthcare and to provide satisfactory
facilities in the hospitals linked with the medical and dental colleges.

Education Qualification: Candidates
applying for the posts should possess MBBS/MD/MS/DM/MCH or equivalent degree
from recognized university/institution. The educational qualification acquired
by the applicants should be as per Punjab Medical Education (Group-A) Service
Rules, 2016.
Age as on 06.06.2016:
Candidates’ age should as per mentioned in the Punjab Medical Education
(Group-A) Service rules, 2016 for the concerned speciality.
Pay Scale:
1.
Professor – Rs. 37,400 – 67,000 + Grade Pay of Rs. 10,000/-
2.
Associate Professor - Rs. 37,400 – 67,000 + Grade Pay of Rs. 8,900/-
3.
Assistant Professor - Rs. 37,400 – 67,000 + Grade Pay of Rs. 8,600/-
Cost of Application: General
and OBC candidates will require to
pay Rs.100/- and SC/ST to pay Rs. 25/- in the form of Bank Draft issued in the
name of “Directorate Research & Medical Education, Punjab, payable at
Chandigarh.
Selection Method:
Selection of suitable candidates will be done on the basis of career
assessment.
